Celebrating Food and Music in the Heart of Wales
Started in 2013, Newtown Food Festival is held annually on the first weekend of September and its success continues to grow year-on-year – 2017 will be our 5th festival. The festival is collaboration between Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council and a group of volunteers.
The council is the primary funder of the festival and we also receive a grant from the Welsh Government Strategic Business Growth Scheme. The committee is very grateful to everybody that helps to make the festival a success, in particular our local private Sponsors.
The festival has a FREE admission policy and entry tickets are not required. However, there are some activities for which a fee will be charged – these can be purchased from the town council offices, for more information follow the link to Tickets.
The festival vision is “Celebrating Food and Music in the heart of Wales”.
We are passionate about food and music but are also keen to promote community organisations.
We aim to provide:
- a best FREE weekend festival of food and family entertainment in Mid Wales/Wales
- a great day out for local residents and visitors
- a valued marketplace and showcase for producers and local businesses
- a secure reputation as annual unmissable event
